19th century league w/ promotion/relegation has unlimited openings
I have an unlimited number of openings in a unique, in-depth 19th century historical/fictional hybrid league, soon to enter its 25th season of play. The league is made up of a network of leagues: the
Transcontinental Baseball Association is the human-run major league, and then there are about a dozen and a half leagues that are a mixture of minor league affiliates and AI-run independent teams. Next season, the TCBA and all the independent AI teams will be consolidating into one association and grouped into a hierarchy of leagues like in British football. After each season, the top two teams from each league will be promoted into the higher division, and the bottom two teams will be relegated to the lower league.
Of course, this is more fun with as many human owners as possible. The leagues will be 16 teams each and we currently have 22 owners, so there will be 6 owners in the second division. If you take a team, you will start in the second division with them and will be competing for promotion (and the right to participate in the amateur draft).
Other details:
-Sims are three times a week, two weeks at a time
-Players are mostly fictional, with significant historical amateurs added in
-Scouting is enabled
-You can fully interact with AI teams, including trading and purchasing players
-Emerging international leagues are setting the stage for a future World Cup
-Played out against the backdrop of American history, real-world events affect teams and the league
-You will be joining a tight-knit group of owners who have been in leagues together for many years
Major available teams (from largest to smallest market size):
Chicago Brown Stockings
Cincinnati Trojans
Washington Federals
Newark Mutual
Louisville Lions
Providence Industrials
St. Paul Capitals
Allegheny Steelers
Scranton Canaries
(...and dozens more)
