2028 Ruthlandian North Mid-Season Recap

Valmara On Top At Mid-Year, Ancona Close 2nd
As usual the Valmara Vipers and the Ancona Red Elephants are the clubs to beat in the Ruthlandian North. The Vipers have won the division the past two seasons and have a 4-game edge at the All-Star break over Ancona. The Red Elephants have finished in the runner-up spot the last three years. The long-suffering LaGrange Sports are the surprise team, rising up from 8th place to 3rd place this year. Improved pitching has helped the Sports. It's been 20 years since LaGrange has won the division flag and made the Pro Cup playoffs (2008) and 11 seasons since they made the first division (2016). Fourth place Ranford is 8 games behind in the race. The biggest disappointment this year are the Far Mountain Redhawks, who have tumbled out of the first division into a sixth-place tie with Taranto, 12 games off the pace.
