The (NU)EBL is a great non-fictional, scouting league that started with the actual 2010 rosters. We are currently halfway through the 2014 season; the league has actually been around for well over one and a half calendar years (April 2010).
We have a core group of dedicated GMs, a very competitive atmosphere, and a lively forum. The league runs 3-day sims every night of the week (don't worry, you aren't expected to export every sim). Due to the frequent sims, we are fairly relaxed on export frequency...most owners probably export 4 or 5 times a week on average. One unique twist: teams' full financial balances carry over from year to year. It definitely makes for a more realistic, but more challenging league. There's no writing requirements, but as you'll find out, a lot of GMs will type up detailed power rankings, draft analysis, and league review articles on their own accord.
This is a OOTP 12 league, we date back to OOTP 11, but we recently switched over to 12.
