I'm trying to think of any other Yankee who would take the place of Jeter as number 5. Not that I'm discounting him; far from it. 3,088 hits gets him into the Hall of Fame and makes him one of the greatest Yankees. It's just that I tend to be conservative and Jeter's too new, so to speak. So, who else deserves to be just behind DiMaggio/Mantle on this list? Thoughts?
