I'm using the default (Career2002.lg) rosters, started with an Initial Draft for a fictional league. I swapped some teams from league to league, but the AL still has 14 teams and the NL still has 16 teams. For the most part I've just been simulating, making slight adjustments, transactions, etc. throughout the seasons that I've simulated.
I've toyed with the League Totals "during" the season when noticing the stats being a bit off, but I hadn't had any problems the previous seasons with this. I have No DH in either league. I only run a 4 or 5 amateur draft each year, and this year when I started it, I tried to draft players and several names were entirely different on the list than the "Sign ________?"
During the draft, I noticed teams had inordinate amount of players at certain positions. (Ex. Martin Hunt, 1B, OAK). Martin Hunt had been traded several times, but about 10-12 copies of him were in Oakland's Single-A affiliate. I released TONS of players that seemed to be clogging the system (I know about the 40 player per level problem) and now no teams have over 40 players at each level, but randomly these problem players (Hunt) STAY on the team even after I've released him. (When I release one copy of him, it SHOWS that it releases all of him, but when I go to the FA screen, he's nowhere to be found.)
System specs: Dell Pentium IV, 1.6 GHZ Processor, 128-MB RAM, 12.4 GB hard drive space free.
