Thanks for the pic. I hadn't noticed that option and it may be a way to get the guys I want to play to start the game. I'll mess around with it and see how it works.

As you stated, all the lineup slots were blank because I had not ever opened the menu before tonight

What I still don't understand is why, if before the game starts I change the lineups; the computer manager switches them right back when I hit start game. I check off all five options to let Frisch handle the game. Should I reserve the personnel/substitution option for myself until the game starts so my chosen lineup starts the game?

As I stated earlier, fatigue doesn't seem to be the reason. Also, in answer to your question about whether it is an every game occurrence. It does not seem to happen all the time. Some of his changes seem quite reasonable and in line with the depth charts I haven't monitored the quick sim games though.

If I could override the field manager before a game I would be okay with this.

Thanks again for your help. The documentation for the game is disappointing.
