Other
  • Fans wear all attire, from formal to casual. A few are known to wear costumes and paint their faces.
  • Some fans arrive by the Continent's intricate electrical cable-car system. Those who can't afford it arrive by bus or on foot.
  • Food can be either purchased at the ballpark for nominal prices or brought from home. Vendors dot the perimeters of the park, often hawking less-pricey fan favorites, such as billy-bread rounds and fried calbur strips.
  • Ale is sold throughout the park and by vendors who walk up and down the aisles. No other alcohol is permitted.
  • Fist fights among fans are common, particularly in later innings after many ales have been consumed. Vendors rarely cut off beer sales to even the most inebriated fans.
  • Given the lesser financial status of the league, parks are usually in poor condition, with hard wooden seats and limited amenities.

**Lifted wholesale from Jon Johnson's Metro League, many thanks.
