If you really, really want to do something quickly, you can create a league for testing purposes by copying just the ".dat" files from within the league folder. I freqently do this when I want to test changes without making a full, time-consuming backup.
Create a folder, call it "LeagueTest.lg" and copy just the dat files into it. Load this league and test away.
