July 25th: Out since July 3rd with a broken finger, SS Bert Campaneris has been activated by the Oakland Athletics. To make room for Campy the A's have sent down catcher Dave Duncan.

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Wes Parker has been placed on the 21 day disabled list due to an emergency appendectomy that had to be performed last Friday. He's expected to be ready to play once his 21 days are up.

July 26th: The California Angels have purchased 30 year old utility player Billy Cowan from the New York Yankees for cash considerations.

The Washington Senators have purchased 29 year old Zoilo Versalles from the Cleveland Indians for a cash amount believed to be slightly above the $25,000 waiver price.
