26th IPA All-Star Game Tomorrow at South Fork

Showcase for the Stars -- The Islandian Pro Alliance All-Star Game. It's a great game for the fans. The All-Star Classic comes around each year at this time to the delight of every baseball fan. All of gifted and talented players from the Ruthlandian Union and Tycobbian Union come together and show their wares on the baseball diamond. The top players go toe-to-toe with one another to get the bragging rights for their league. The Tycobbian Stars have a one-sided edge in the mid-summer competition with 18 wins in 25 games. The glitter game is scheduled tomorrow afternoon in South Fork, the home of the defending IPA Pro Cup champions.

The TU All-Stars will be led by Jack Elliott (High Mesa), making his recording-setting 13th appearance, snapping a tie with the great Phil Gravelli. Elliott will have plenty of help from Andy Pearson (Arroyo Grande) and Crash Davis (Ginza), who are 11-time stars. Flash Devlin (LaClaire) has been selected on 10 occasions, Davey Krueger (Bayview) 8 times and Bill Howell (Bay St. Clair) 5 times. Dennis Hartzig (Oxford), James Mack (Red Bluff) and Sal Jordan (Rolling Hills) qualified for the 4th time.

Sparking the RU Stars will be Roy Hobbs (Waleska), appearing for the 11th time. Vic Valenti (Beechwood) has made the team 8 times, Russ Woodward (Marston) 7 times and Kenny Willard (Ancona) 5 times. Four others have been picked 3 times: Kees Draeger (Belair Beach), Jan Kissinger (Sugar Valley), Denny Whitaker (Sugar Valley) and Shannon White (San Dimas).

Each club will feature first-time stars. Rookies Luis Alvarado (Southport) and Marvin Farrell (Denton City) will be making their All-Star debuts for the Tycobbian Union, while the Ruthlandian stars will have Hector Cuellar (San Dimas), Jared Lundquist (Grand City) and Dave Skoglund (Volusia).
