In my MLB like solo league free agents file on Nov 26. Typically it is 1 month after the last WS game is played.

No you don't get to see FA while extending your own. What should the other GM's do while you get a head start.. Please note that you can see upcoming FA at any time on the league transactions (clipboard icon).

Click on the drop down on the top right (baseball) of the screen. That gives all the critical dates going forward. I don't know if it goes past the playoffs yet since you're still in September. Once the playoffs are done this will show for sure. You have have plenty of time to make all these decisions.
