I can see why this game is so enjoyable if you know the system well, but it literally takes way too long to get much accomplished. I wish that there was a way to get a refund. I can't seem to get the team names to appear correctly, there are 50000000 links all over the place and you have to stand vigil when simming which I hate. Any pointers from anyone on how not to want to stop playing this game immediately?

I guess it depends on what one is looking for in a baseball sim. I've played OOTP since its inception. About 4 yrs ago I took a look at Mogul and felt somewhat like what you feel now -
Huh? Where do I start? Non of these controls look simple. I'm frustarated.
That was my inital reaction, but the thing with games or any software for that matter, if you're used to one type of layout and interface, moving to something new takes time to adjust.
My suggestion is to start with a small fictional league, maybe 10 or 12 teams, and just explore and play around with the game. Familiarity is bred from using something. Sure, OOTP seems overwhelming at first, but once you start spending some time playing with it, you can quickly become hooked.
I realize this level of complexity isn't for everyone, and I respect that, but I urge you to give it a try for a couple weeks. If you set up a small league to start with, making mistakes as you go won't really be problem as this would be considered a learning experience. Just keep trying the different settings and play around with the "50000000 links all over the place". You'll find they are actually quite useful.
Also, once you get comfortable, and have certain pages/reports you look at a lot, you can bookmark them for ease of access.
G/L, and don't hesitate to ask questions here on the forums. There is an endless well of knowledge here and a lot of very helpful people around.
