Neutralized Stats
Sort of a combination of the home run thread below
But was looking at a way to neutralize the stats for a season for all players, such at to 1999 or something-
but after reading through various threads it seems like the possible choices are quite challenging
other than to go into each and every player and modify the totals by hand (in this case then i might only do home runs for hitters and pitchers or too much work each season)
the question i have for the experts
1- if the season modifiers, say in 1901 is 354 homeruns 1.000
and i have now increased the power values of the players so homer totals double or triple,
would the computer still be trying to come up with a league average of 354 home runs-
or would it instead just follow the power ratings of the players, so a player whose power made him a 20 homer guy, would likely hit 20 homers?
2- as long as player develpment is on yearly recalc
then my previous years (edit) in columns would no longer appear, and the new totals as expected for 1902 would appear?
then i would go ahead with alterations to that, wo needing to have to worry about it being affected by the tinkering to the players in 1901
thanks
