The "closer" is often my 2nd best reliever. My best reliever gets placed in multiple slots to maximize his usage, depending upon endurance, usually something like MR2/SU1. This generally leads to seasons of 75ish appearances with over 100 innings.

Or if I have two similar relievers, I'll split the "closer" role between them. The one with higher endurance gets placed in a combo of MR/CL, the other gets SU/CL.

I'm not much of a fan of the "closer" role as it exists today.
