The commisioner of the Cooperstown league came down hard on the Brewers and the Phillies after the teams had a bench clearing brawl in their game on Friday.
Ben Oglivie charged the mound and tackled Curt Schillng and it took several minutes to seperate the two players in a bench clearing mob the fans love but the league hates. The Brewers may be the most frustrated team in the league with their 2-13 record and are obviously in for a long season.
Schilling had been pitching inside to the Brewers all game as has been his style, but the right hander is also in a bit of a funk looking for his first win of the season.
The league has taken strong measures on player behavior as it recently also suspended Tim Wallach of the Nationals for four games after he bumped an umpire this week. Interestingly it is more of the modern day players that are causing issues rather then the older generation.
"The league will take a stand and wont tolerate players who think they are above the game" said the league commisioner.
