I agree. For me, the most obvious improvement in 12 over 11 is in the contract dialogue, which is quite interesting to work with. I also appreciate the improvements made to the teams' financial reports, which are far more transparent and intelligible than they were before.

Also, here's something else that I believe I have seen in this version that was not so evident before: Now it seems that the a.i.-controlled teams really have different personalties. I may be reading my own hopes into the game, but it looks to me that different teams actually behave differently in terms of running the bases, deploying power versus OBP, and so on.

One thing I am looking forward to trying, maybe in my next fictional league, is to take a game all the way from 1890 to 1990. I think the historical modifiers allow you to do that with some confidence now.
