Use FIP mostly for pitchers. It's good at balancing K/9, BB/9 and HR/9 and the fact that it's scaled like ERA makes it that much more helpful. And while ERA+ is far too streaky to look at it over one season, it's a decent enough stat over several years so I'll at least glance at that. For hitters, primarily OPS+, wOBA and WAR.
