gehrig38, was just reading your idea for PDF (Pitchers Dominance Factor). The first reference to it I thought you meant a PDF file, so I got a bit confused.
Anyways, interesting idea.
One stat I never see is what % of runners a starting pitcher has on base when he is replace by a relief pitcher score. I imagine more than 1 starters ERA title has been lost by relief pitchers. I sometimes wonder what ERAs would be like if runs scored where shared by whoever left the runner on base and whoever releaved that person. Perhaps weighted based on what base the inherited runners were on. However, I imagine it would get rather confusing if multiple pitchers left runners on base. Then I'm sure some would want to give special credit to pitchers who strand inherited runner. Maybe it's a bad idea.
Question for everyone. What do you think of the idea of increasing roster sizes to reflect the higher usage of relief pitchers in today's game.
I can't remember, is there a place in OOTP to set roster sizes?
