We're talking fictional leagues here:

When you first create a league the game fills it with players. These players are not created equal to the players you will get later on from the draft or your feeder leagues. They are mutch better. Especially, there are WAY too many VERY young players who are fully developed superstars.

So, part of the the problem is that if you are playing a league that you plan to keep for a long time, the players of the future have no hope of ever matching the records set by the first batch of players. It's like the players in the initial pool are full of all the steroid players.

I want all my players coming from the same factory for the sake of consistency. So I sim 25 years to get rid of all the original players, delete all their misbegotten history and start from there.....
