I set my guy to 250 L/R power, and about 90/100 everything else (with exceptionally low gap), and, in a hitter's park, was able to get 78. Since then though, as my other overall stats have increased (AVG, gap, etc), the most I've gotten is 68.

Here is my prescription for hitting home runs:
1) Take your best hitting and edit to give him 250 contact 250 power and 250 eye
2) Release all pitchers from other teams
3) delete all of these pitchers plus any other free agents
3) create a fictional pitcher (free agent)
4) give him a 2 (out of 250) in movement and a 2 (out of 250) in stuff
5) clone this pitcher 500 times
6) Start hitting home runs
