It gets weirder... since my last post, the only financial actions I've taken are:
- Sign Aramis Ramirez to a 3-year, $14.5M/yr extension
- Sign about 4-5 FAs, all to minor league deals
- Promote one guy from the minors to fill a spot vacated by an injured player.
- Do the amateur draft. I think I got 6 players. The first of them went directly to active roster because I had another guy on DL and forgot to replace him.
Now here's how it stands:
FYI, Mesoraco makes $400K; Heyward makes $496.5K.
So... WTH? No idea why I'm suddenly at $0 for FA, according to the front office screen. I should have over $4M to spend. Of course, that still hasn't stopped me from actually being able to sign $6-7M deals if I want. However, I can't actually trade now. On THAT screen, the game seems to think I'm half a million over budget already.
I'm guessing it has to do with FA signings? Like it thinks all these minor league deals are counting against the cap... sometimes.
It's pretty frustrating. This is not a minor feature, that I can kind of ignore that's it buggy. Managing player contracts are the whole point of the game. You have some serious problems here, which need to get fixed.
