"Rushed" Player Development?
I have a player development question - if a player has a high current ability scout rating, as well as a potential rating, would age/level affect their development?
I'm asking specifically about Taijuan Walker in the Seattle Mariners system. He is 18 and pitches in Single A in real life, but is on the AAA roster at the start of the game. 18 is very young for AAA, so I wanted to send him to at least AA so he isn't "rushed" and affect his development, but this made his morale change to "very unhappy."
Am I overthinking this and age doesn't matter if the talent is there? Or is there a risk in a guy moving up too fast even if his ratings are solid?
