What QD is talking about is if a player in your import year was signed by a team 5/22 and didn't play on another team prior to that, the way the database is set up it will import him to that team he was signed by on 5/22 instead of as a Free Agent.
The work around is to look at the transaction log and note these guys, go into commisioner mode and make them Free Agents.
OF course after the 1st season this will run smoothly.
