Don't know regarding 1, but in my experience in 11 (don't have 12 yet
), the depth chart settings don't seem to work properly in spring training. My guess is that the depth chart settings are coded to only affect regular season and playoff games. I don't know how hard it would be to change, but it would be nice for the depth charts to count in spring training. It would help with spreading playing time around.
