no I can't do that. I play out the "important" games - opening day, all star game, pennant race games, all playoff games. Also if something significant is happening a long hitting streak, a big milestone approaching or even something interesting like a hot prospect playing his first game.
I have tried to play out full seasons, but I never make it past 50 games or so
funny - a LONG time ago in I think 1988 a friend and I played the entire AL season on Earl Weaver and I mean entire, every inning for every team - there was no fast sim in those days. Hell we had just gotten a sim that would compile all of the stats.

Yeah, we're all different. I simply can't get into the game if I sim. I can't just look at the score and move on I have to examine the boxscore and maybe the log to see what I've missed. It probably takes me almost as long to examine the boxscore and log after a sim as it would to just play the game. Reading the log almost feels like work to me

and while a glance over of the boxscore can give a lot of the story I just find myself wondering too much about how everything really unfolded.
So was it fun with Earl Weaver or, by the end, did it become a quest you had to complete?
