Cansesco Responds

Jose Cansesco anwered his critics in a big way tonight by homering with two men on in a pinch hit role as the Athletics won their first game of the season against the Mariners in Seattle.

Down two runs in the 9th Cansesco delivered the big blow and seems determined to get into Connie Mack's starting lineup on merit. The A's of course have a very talented roster and playing time wont be easy to come by.

A six run third inning including two home runs gave to Cubs enough to take their second in a row against KC. Billy Williams hit a three run job as the Cubs roughed up Kevin Appier. Three Finger Brown went the distance on a day the wind was blowing out at Wrigley.
