maybe it's just this particular game, because by 2037, there are scores of players playing above age 40... but Bryce Harper wasn't fit to play in the majors by the age of 29, after winning 2 consecutive triple crowns and leading the league thrice in homeruns, he didn't have a single homrun in 200 at bats, after which i sent him to the minors. Now, this was the most dramatic dropoff i've had, and in some games he is able to play until he is 32, but even so, that's a remarkably short peak
