I've done this before with OOTP X, but I did it on a slow computer and found it wasn't worth the time. But, if your machine has a lot of RAM...

I set it up with 200 division I teams split into two subleagues, east and west or north and south, either way. Then each subleague contained the conferences as divisions within the subleague - i.e. PAC 10, Big 10, SEC, Big East, etc. Then the CWS is a 64 team playoff, which the game can handle.

I've considered setting this up again with OOTP 11 and narrowing down to 100 biggest Div. I schools and then the 100 biggest Div. IAA schools, Div. II, and Div. III and playing out a 64 team playoff series for each of them.

The point is it's doable.
