Budget Issue - Impacts game play
I have played a few seasons... and in the first two i had no issues trading players in terms of the financials. Now in the third season, it seems that all teams are not able to take on salary of my players.. and vice versa.. (although this i can deal with by releasing some players). Also when the message comes that the team is unable to take on such a contract and it will reduce their budget to neg xyz... I checked the front office tabs and did my own math and it doesnt appear to be accurate. Anyway, now i cant trade anyone.. Clearly if a team is at or above budget then taking on a salary that is higher than the salaries they are giving back is not going to work.. This is reflecting reality.. I like that part... but, when I do match up salaries, it still gives an error, which doesnt make sense... is this a bug? Specific example...
Fictional League.. I am playing with Boston Elite.. trading my 33 SS in the last year of his deal... salary is $12,620,000... my budget is $150,000,000
my player payroll is $146,453,000
$s for free agents is $256,988
when i try to trade for SS Francisco Villega of the Brooklyn Enemies... I get the following message
Brooklyn cannot afford the contracts of the offered players. Their projected budget room would drop by $1,057,778 to a total of -$1,183,248
Carlos Villa salary is $10,240,000k... so the difference between my player and theirs is $2,380,000
Brooklyn Enemies
Budget is $120,000,000
Payroll is $107,238,000
$ for free agents $0
so a few questions pop up..
a) they are $13m below their budget so how can they go into negative territory
b) i dont understand the math that is in the message
I also see teams where their player payroll is higher than the budget... Is this a bug?
These issues have destroyed my ability to trade players.. I have tried this now with at least 15 teams with the same result.... is this the intent or is this a bug?
Thank you
