OOTP is amazing but Football Manager is in a whole another dimension in terms of quality.
That is not a knock on OOTP at all. FM has the advantage of having a staff of over 100 working on the game from year to year and has a budget that dwarfs what Markus can put into the game.
This is why iOOTP is so vital to the company. If it can bring in new resources for the company then perhaps they can add a second coder and then maybe a third and then maybe an artist and so on and so forth.
