The Oakland Athletics need a GM. We lost a very good GM (Chris, we're gonna miss ya), but he does leave behind a team brimming with young talent. This team has gone through a year of MAJOR rebuilding. All of the ML talent was traded for minor league prospects. Oakland has the #5 rated minor league system in the league, including #1 3B Spencer Antunez, #14 SP Roy Hobbes, #20 SP Luke Tussey, #40 SP Otis Limones, and #90 SP Juan Ascencio. Two or three of those should be ready for the ML squad this year.
We are currently in Day 5 of free agent signing. Oakland has over $50,000,000 to spend and has the top offer on 7 quality free agents. The NOBL is a 20-team, fictional league. We sim 3 games per day, 6 days per week. We just finished our 3rd season, and have had a different champion each season (DET, FLA, NYA). We are a somewhat older crowd, and I will be "interviewing" for the Oakland position. I'd love to have an energetic owner take over (but wouldn't we all).
