The way it is now it's possible to play 28 games during the playoffs. Under my system that number is reduced to 22.

I don't like this because it's too much of an advantage to the number 1 seed. You can't have parody without upsets.
I'd say a better idea would be to get rid of the bye and knock off a round.
8 teams overall best of 7 throughout.
