In this case it was a guy I had never heard of starting up a league similar to mine at a time where I needed more guys to join mine, so his timing was a bit off, too.
I agree that this is an efficient way to get some members to join your league. There again, robbing your neighbor is an effective way to get money.
I think that e-mailing a league is very effective, yes, and can be very good if it is legit. However, not asking the commissioner is not necessarily the best idea you can have.
Just tonight a member of my league (who is also a genius well-known member of this board) asked me if I had given permission to Moriarty to e-mail the league. It was the 5th of my guys to show some concern about it.
Again, if he would've asked me, maybe I would've told him to go ahead, given him the permission. However, he chose a disrespectful way, which I found to be pretty sad.
I think it's pretty stupid to argue that much over such a small thing
