As one of the improvements Marcus listed is "immersion," I'm hopeful we'll see some movement in this area ...

Like getting notes about major injuries, hot/cold streaks, etc. in the minors. Except for a small number of players who choose to run a minor-league team, "the minors" exists to improve young players so they have some shot at the big leagues.
I would like also to see minor league managers play prospects instead of older players; to spread out top prospects so they all get AB / IP without my micromanaging.

I would like to see the game develop young players, not adjust a bunch of numbers in a database: So when I designate Pitcher A as a starter-in-training, he works on stamina and picks up at least a second pitch (change up anybody? Can anybody name an MLB starter without a second pitch, even if it's a crappy change up? Mo Rivera is famous for throwing one pitch as a reliever. I suspect a one-pitch starter would attract attention.)

When a youngster is designated as a relief specialist, he works on his hold move and a strikeout pitch but de-emphasizes stamina.

The game still needs to sort out value for relief pitchers (stop telling me to draft MR ... stop rating MR as 4-5 star hitting prospects).

Little things like these would go a long way toward improving immersion ....
