Exclamation Platoon Super STAR!!!

Ahhh OOTP seems to have screwed me over AGAIN...my season file got corrupted when i found something brilliant. I do not have all the exact stats but i wrote up part of the story and saved it and was going to release it after a few more seasons but it looks like those seasons are not going to be comming so i guess ill start a new season. Heres my story!

NEW YORK SS's lead team to 128 wins/WS wins!

New York SS's season stats:

Fredrick Franklin LH - .376, 40 HRs, 94 RBIs
Kevin Williams RH - .366, 32 HRs, 87 RBIs

Okay look at these two guys. FF was a LHB which i found the previous offseason. He was a 3 star player, rated 5 in hits, 7 in HR. He was also only making $1.3 mil and i traded a 4 1/2 star 1B who was making 9 mil for him. Sounds like a crappy deal so far right? But you don't nkow all the details. Franklin had a 9 rating in avg vs RHP and HR rating of 15 against RHP. He had a 3 and 4 rating against LHP. I decided to take him and look around the league to see if there was someone just opposite of him. good at hitting LHP. Surprisingly, i found Williams who was a 2 1/2 prospect and it did not take much to get him. Williams had a 8 in hits against LHP and 14 for HR, but again his hits vs RHP was 4 and HR was 3. I saw a few more players like this who were better but i took Williams because he lpayed the same position as Franklin.

I set the depth charts so they they only played against their strength and i simmed 1/2 the season. I noticed that their play was phenomonal and they were never tired. Williams just killed LHP and Franklin destroyed RHP. When the season was over, both of them were 1 and 2 in the HR list and had led my team, who was a .500 team to a 128 win season! We swept through the division series and lost one game in the championship series but swept the World Series. These two contributed a whole lot to the team and made 2.5 million dollars total. They dominated and brought my team with just a bunch of role players to the championship. I was going to rebuild the team with young ones too.

BTW, does anyone know how the development does this? like makes players good at hitting a certain type of pitching? i never knew about this until i looked at it and thought of a plan!
