The only crashes I have had have come when I edited certain player histories within the game; for some reason, some player histories get so long or perhaps acquire corrupted characters so that as soon as you save them, the game crashes. For those player histories, I take note of the player ID's, find the corresponding text files, and do the updates in Notepad.
