Just clarifying one tiny misconception.... everything you've said here is right phesta, except for one detail. Registering gives two things: (1) a presumption of copyright validity, and (2) the right to sue over the copyright. Thus, a website is protected by copyright, but if it's not registered you don't have the right to sue. If someone really wanted to stop others from copying their material, they could register the site and then sue.
Other than that, I've got nothing to say except that it seems that many of you are really agressively attacking this new guy.... especially Total Nirvana. I think that unless someone gives some STRONG indication that they are really some alias, they should get the benefit of the doubt.
