Thumbs down In Playoffs, relief pitchers starting not the Starters

I was right at the postseason part of my historical league which I started in 1982. I bought OOTP 4, and was about to start the postseasons when Version 4b came out this past week. I downloaded it and installed it. I played the 1st game of the Divisional Championships and went to sim the 2nd game. Well, my starter was Mike Witt (SP). When I went to look at the results of the game, my closer (Dave Beard) had started the game and pitched 6 innings. Well, I looked at his ratings and he had a SP duration of E but his role was set as Closer. Plus, Mike Witt had pitched 5 days earlier so I figured that the computer replaced Witt with Beard since Witt had pitched 5 days earlier. However, Witt was not tired.

Well, for game 3, I simmed again, and this time, my MR (Gene Walters) started the game instead of my #3 SP. Gene did not have a rating for SP and his role was Middle Reliever. Frustrated, I went and played game 4, and made sure my #3 SP started the game. I simmed the game once I was in it. This time my actual Starter started the game. I simmed game #5 and Gene Walter started the game again.

Frustrated, I went ahead and played game 6 and simmed once the game started. My team advanced to the World Series and I simmed the games once I was in the actual game.

Has anybody else reported this? Is there anything I can do to get around it? FYI-the computer controlled teams actually started their Starters and not Relievers. Although, in a 6 game series, Bruce Hurst started 3 times. Very interesting.
