DiMaggio Batters Athletics



Joe DiMaggio was the star of the show at Yankee Stadium as the New York Yankees (8-5) beat the Oakland A's (5-7) by a score of 9-6. DiMaggio went 4-5 with two long home runs off Eddie Plank. Joe had six RBI tying the season high for the season.

DiMaggio has three home runs so far this season and leads the Yankees with 13 RBI. Mariano Rivera also had his first save opportunity of the season and came through in the 9th.
