For the fourth season in a row, Boston's Arnold Jacobs is given the Cartwright Award. The League Chadwick Award goes to Harvey Hannon of Louisville. Cleveland's Tom Hindman is named the league's top amateur.

For the Association, Cincinnati's Doc Langdon takes home the Cartwright, his second win in three seasons. His team mate Bernhard Gilliam followed up his Best Amateur win last season with a Chadwick Award this season. Toledo's J.W. Dickerson is named 1884's best amateur.
