Round 1: Bute clinches. Moorer holds up his arms in disgust. Moorer is holding his gloves high, leaving his body exposed. Cautious opening round for each fighter. Not much happens.

Round 2: Moorer traps Bute in a corner a couple of times. Moorer outlands Bute 36-24

Round 3: Bute is clinching. Moorer lands to Bute's body. Bute is hurt, favoring his ribs. Moorer follows with a big uppercut. Good round for Moorer. Bute on defense

Round 4: Bute traps Moorer in a neutral corner and lands an uppercut that hurts him. Bute displays some fancy footwork as he moves around Moorer. Good round for Bute

Round 5: Bute lands a good liver shot. Bute uses quick jab to keep Moorer away. Moorer lands a big hook flush. Bute looks shaken. Close round with Bute slightly busier.

Round 6: Moorer appears to be trying to load up on his punches. Fighters clinch to catch a breather. Bute soft jabs that don't hurt Moorer but score points. Moorer is still leaving his body open. Bute outlands Moorer 42-18

Round 7: Moorer muscles his way inside. Body attack is hurting Bute. Moorer senses that Bute may be ready to go and starts to pour it on. Referee stops action to warn Moorer about using his shoulders on the inside. Bute is covering up to prevent body shots, but is leaving his chin dangerously unprotected. Round ends with referee breaking up a clinch

Round 8: The sting is starting to go from Bute's punches. Bute just wants to clinch and hold. Moorer continues to land effective body punches. Bute's strategy is to hug Moorer and wait for the referee to break them apart

Round 9: Nice combination from Moorer buckles Bute's knees. Bute is gasping for air. Bute is unsteady and retreats. Moorer continues to come forward but should be moving in behind punches

Round 10: Bute lands a few good shots and outlands Moorer 24-12. Moorer seems to have taken round off

Round 11: Slow first half of round. Bute is cut by a Moorer punch. Referee sees that it is a nasty gash outside of Bute's left eye and blood is trickling down. Referee stops action and brings Bute over to the ringside doctor. Doctor is allowing the fight to continue. Moorer pounds away on Bute until the bell

Round 12: Bute's corner successfully closed the cut. Bute is clinching. Moorer pushes him away and lands a perfect uppercut. Bute slumps to the canvas. Bute back up after 8-count. Cut over Bute's left eye is reopened and flowing blood. Referee takes Bute over to the doctor. Doctor shakes his head and will not let Bute continue. Referee calls an end to the bout at 1:54 of round
