A-Rod was placed on waivers by the Yankees and picked up by the Tigers where he collected his 3,000th hit and 700th HR, later signing an extension to finish his career in Detroit.
Vlad got his 500th HR and then his 3,000th hit on the final day of the regular season!
We had our 6th champion in 6 seasons with the Royals topping the Padres. The Royals became just the 2nd team in league history to make a 2nd World Series appearance (KC: 2013&2011, NYA: 2008&2009) and we have had 10 different World Series participants out of a possible 12.
