That's exactly the argument that big conference supporters use. They don't play anybody but each other. How does that mean they're good, again?
Really it's just amazing to me that anybody could be in favor of NOT playing the games on the field.

Oregon State isn't anywhere in the top 25. I am using the BCS standing last week, not AP poll position of when the teams meet, which is pretty pointless especially early in the season.
Big conferences do have better out of conference schedules overall, and that makes them good. Look at the overall record of WAC, and you'd see how it's much worse than the big conferences.
