I've had unhappy players hit 50HR. Others have hit 0.330 or won 12-18 games. Maybe they would have done better when happy but they could also have gotten injured or had slumps.

Almost every player in the last year of a contract, that you don't sign an extension with, is unhappy for most of the season. However I think I see a trend towards good contract years. One seems to offset the other IMO.
