Boston 7, Milwaukee 3: After a 7-run third inning in the first game of this two-game set, Boston puts up a 5-run second in Game Two against Craig Swan and never looks back. Jake Stahl, Andy Pafko and Grant Johnson each drove in a pair for the Riders.
New York 7, Chicago 0: The last place Heroes outscore the Hitmen 13-0 in the two-game set, handing Johan Santana his 14th loss while getting a complete game from Johnny Antonelli. Judy Johnson and Jhonny Peralta each hit 2-run homers.
Charlotte 4, Sacramento 1: 17-game winner Bob Veale allows an incredible 14 hits over 7 1/3 but the Stingers muster only four hits against Charlotte's Bob Rush.

Las Vegas 5, St. Louis 3: The Tides lose their fifth straight as they seem to be doing everything possible to blow the division. Christy Mathewson went the distance for Vegas, which got a pair of RBIs from Don Kessinger.
New Orleans 6, San Antonio 2: The Knights cut the division deficit to one game as Chad Tracy homers and drives in three. Tim Raines extended his hitting streak to 30 games, the second best in PBL history and three off the record held by Louisville's Richie Ashburn.
Los Angeles 6, Alabama 1 (10 innings): A pitcher's duel between the Idols' John Clarkson and Alabama's Johnny Schmitz is blown up by Tim Jordan's first career homer, a 10th inning grand slam.
