Chicago star first to hit for cycle this season

INDIANAPOLIS -- He can do more than just hit homers.

Chicago Hitmen outfielder Charley Jones did go deep tonight against the Indianapolis Engines. But he also hit a single, double and triple, becoming the first player in the Pastime Baseball League to hit for the cycle this season.

Jones became the first player to do so since Philadelphia's Jason Thompson against the Louisville Racers last September 25.

The triple was Jones' first, the double only his 16th.

"It's nice for the resume," Jones said with a smile. "But we're chasing Sacramento for a division title. That's what matters."
