Absolutely seriously, it happens about twice a year to the Mets. Hit in head by 98 mph pitch, players collided in the outfield, ran into the bullpen gate, hit infielder's knee sliding headfirst into second, you name it. I think I remember a few years ago a first baseman (not a Met) got a concussion from stumbling backwards into a batter overrunning first.
And I'm sure I've missed some. I read an article on Yahoo! sports a week or so ago that said at that time there were five players on the DL with concussions, and that article didn't mention the Mets' Jason Bay. Of those, two were expected to be season-enders, and Bay's may turn out to be.
