Any thoughts??? Compatability error with the master file? Do I have to clean out my OOTP lg folder every download??

It sounds like the NEWS folder in your current league is missing - double check for that. This error sometimes occurs because the game is trying to write to your team transactions & news files which are in that folder, and if the folder is missing the game poots. Don't worry, you don't have to empty the OOTP .LG directory before every download
