Sim vs. Played?
My apologies if this has been covered before, but after digging through twenty pages of old messages, I didn't see the answer, so I thought I would go ahead and post it...
Weird situation which may just be my oddities in playing OOTP5, but I've noticed something that I wanted to float past you guys before I went much further.
Is there a difference in the way that the game determines the stats for a player in "played" games vs. simmed games?
The reason that I bring this up is from two glaring statistical oddities that I noticed for my team within a fictional league. Thus far, for my team, I've played every single game. No simmin' for my team, no siree! But I've found two "weird" things.
1.) I lead the major leagues in ERA. Not too shabby, considering I drafted rather heavily in favor of pitching and have a decent staff. (If I do say so myself.) However, the team ERA is something around 2.40. Again, not that big a deal, but the next best ERA in the league sits at something like 3.42.
2.) My batting sucks. Completely. I am 30 out of 30 teams in BA. The team BA for me is near .241. The next worst? .258. While not as glaring a difference as the ERA, it still seems rather odd that a first place divisional team with 55+ wins by the all-star break has this poor of hitting throughout the lineup.
Again, it may just be me...but I thought I would ask anyway.
