To the end-user, Dropbox creates a folder inside your Documents folder (on "My Documents" on XP) called "My Dropbox". Just put things in there as if it were any other folder, and Dropbox takes care of syncing it.

My favorite thing about Dropbox is that it's cross-platform - Windows, Mac and Linux.

One thing to bear in mind is that Dropbox only gives you 2GB of free space (although you can get more from referrals), but you can pay for more.
